Meet the “Cleanorator,” Kathy Williams.
Personal Touch was founded and is led by domestic goddess Kathy Williams. Kathy brings a unique set of life skills to the cleaning of your home or office, with a wealth of experience in business and home talents.
Kathy was born in Trinidad, to a big family. As a young woman, while waiting to be admitted to nursing school, she instead took over the management and accounting for her father’s liquor store, and can be credited with making the liquor store a major success. While running that store, she also attended school to earn a degree in interior design. At 24, she moved to the US with two suitcases, to attend college in Atlanta. To support herself, she cooked meals and sold them to her fellow students.
After meeting her future husband, she had a baby boy, relocated to Richmond, Virginia, and launched her own company cleaning area homes and businesses. Her clients also turn to her for her skills in event planning and management, facility management, home staging and interior design.
With a motto of “aspiring to achieve together,” Kathy does so every day. Along with her business success, she has also served as a voice for single women in leadership and victims of domestic violence, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Intergenerational Independent Women of Color Voters Bloc.
